I'm happy I have OPM running off my build and on the network.
However, I'm having issues with OPIM. Is there a way to have it read config variables from within OPM so I can avoid editing local cfg files. Can't seem to get it to pick up a network project location if I set _USTN_INSTALLED_WORKSPACEROOT inside OPM instead of OPMdir.cfg.
All suggestions welcome.
Hello Bear,Are you working in Managed Workplace environment with ProjectWise? If yes, then please let us know the version of OpenPlant Modeler & OpenPlant Isometrics with ProjectWise you are using.Regards | Jaya
Hi Jaya, not using PW. I'm just looking for a way to have OPIM run off my network build. All I've been able to find is some reference to changing the _USTN_INSTALLED_WORKSPACEROOT=C:\Apps\Bentley\OpenPlantIsometricsManager V8i\WorkSpace// in OPMdir.cfg. Is it even possible?
Rajesh, tomorrow isn't great. Early next week would be better.
Hi Bear,
You should be able to network OPIM SS6 in the same fashion you do with OPM, the only quirk is the active directory before actually run the *.exe. Refer to the thread below:
https://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/f/autoplant-axsys-openplant-plantwise-forum/132464/opim-ss6---starting-opim-from-bat-cmd-file/404697#404697

Tuan, I'm running OPIM from OPM, though I have tried to start it from my hta, thanks for that link.
My biggest issue is that starting OPIM from POM doesn't work as I would have thought in that it doesn't seem to use the configs from OPM. The next issue is that OPM uses the Bentley.Isometrics.App.exe version and it doesn't use the same cfg files as others and doesn't seem to use any cfg on the appl directory. Makes it very hard to redirect as I want to.
