In all attemps to join any Victaulic component to the second end of a Victaulic ELBOW, Autoplant fails to connect;
Here are the details...
1. Placement of AT_ELBOW90_LR100 SUCCESS
2.Placement of AT_IPS_PIPE to one end of the ELBOW90_LR100 SUCCESS
3.Placement of AT_IPS_PIPE (or whatever component) to other end of the ELBOW90_LR100 FAIL!!!
Autoplant says it cannot find a component compatible with the connecting port data, which are End Condition=IGM and Nominal Size=6.
But there is one, obviously because it succeeded in placing the first one.and I double checked in the spec anyways.
Note that AT_IPS_PIPE are the only component that you can connect on BOTH sides.
I checked in JONTS.INI and PORTS.INI files bit could not find anything irrelevant.
Thanks for helping !
Hello Guy,Thank you for posting your query in a brief manner on Bentley Communities. We would like to know the version details of the AutoPLANT Modeler application that you are currently using with which you are facing the troubles. Also can you specify which specification are you using for the placement of Victaulic Components. We would also like to update you with the testing results that we achieved on our side. Please check the below snapshot:-
We have been able to place the components as described by you. Do let us know your version details so that we can verify the same.Regards,Devendra WarkeBentley Systems
Thanks a lot for responding. May I kindly refer you to my post which shows that any connection on the FIRST side of an elbow is working,
The problem comes when we try to connect another pipe to the OTHER side of the elbow.
The same problem happens when trying to directly connect a coupling to the other side of the elbow:
As you can see on the following snapshot, the connecting datas in the spec meet the requirements:
We are using a Victaulic spec built in Specgen from the Victaulic catalogue.
The AutoPlant version is:
I also uploaded the Joints.ini and Ports.ini files just in case.
I appreciate your help. Please let me know if yo need more details.
Some NUMERIC database fields from the Catalog were changed to SHORT TEXT, therefore the software could not read the dimension properly.
