Hi, everyone
I created an add-in project to insert my own element (valve).
Everything is built well, but the FACING attribute values for the ports do not work.
My element has 2 ports: mainPort and runPort. For each of them there can be different values of the attributes FACING_1 and FACING_2.
But when you insert an element into the project, for all ports the same values are set equal to FACING_1.
Please tell me where the settings for the values FACING_1 and FACING_2 are carried out.

Hi Vitaliy,
What I understood here is - You need to set two different facing value say RF-FF to one component.
Placement logic defined as - FACING property should be same if MAIN_PORT & RUN_PORT value of NOMINAL_DIAMETER or END_PREPARATION matches with each other.
Hence in case you want to have same nominal dia, you need to change End Preparation detail for RUN_PORT and can try it out.
Hope it helps here.

Hi Rahul,
Thanks for reply. As I understood you correctly, if I need to set two different facing value to one component MAIN_PORT & RUN_PORT value of NOMINAL_DIAMETER must be the same? But if MAIN_PORT & RUN_PORT value of NOMINAL_DIAMETER are different?Regards, Vitaliy
No, its opposite
If NOMINAL_DIAMETER or END_PREPARATION are not same for components then it can allow you to have different FACING.
E.g a valve of DN100 size having should have end prep Flanged at both end, hence taking facing value same. To cater different facing End Prep of any end should changed to different End Prep, other than Flanged
Or If you have Flanged end component but Nominal dia available as DN100/DN80 then also you can change it different FACING.
