I have a problem to add catalog in OpenPlant Specification Generator. When I tried to add catalog, a message appeared "... is not valid catalog" (screenshot below). I'm the only one who has this problem in my office. Could someone help me?

RE: Invald Catalog Selected

Dear Rahul,

Thank you very much for your help - it is working.

can you check installed for MS access db engine of 64bit? See below wiki for reference.

communities.bentley.com/.../unable-to-retrieve-any-component-sizes-from-the-current-specification

DB engine 64 bit compliance with OpenPlant Modeler CE install. If still some issue then we can schedule a meeting and discuss the concern.

HTH,

RE: Invald Catalog Selected

Hi Swapnil,

Thank you for fast reply, but it doesn't solve my problem. I'll try to describe wider my problem. Earlier I worked in OpenPlant Modeler v8i, but I decided to change hard drive because I had some problems with my PC. I installed the system on my new hard drive and new OpenPlant Connect Edition. After that I have problems to add catalog to OpenPlant Specification Generator. My co-workers installed OpenPlant Connect Edition without re-instalizing system and they don’t have problems with catalogs (we use the same catalogs). Is it possible that I don’t have some drivers or programs installed?

Regards,

Marek

RE: Invald Catalog Selected

Hi Marek,

Thank you for posting a query in Bentley Plant Forum. Can you compare if your Catalog contains all the tables that a relevant catalog would contain?

This can be found out by comparing a catalog that can be loaded in SpecGen with the ASME catalog. The following image contains necessary tables for a catalog to be opened in SpecGen. If any of these tables are missing then you will not be able to load it in OpenPlant Specification Generator.

Kindly update your observations.

Regards
