Pipelines disappeared from Standard Preferences for Piping Component toolbox

Pretty much as the title states.

After opening the dgn file with OBD (CE Update 6) and microstation (CE Update 13) to perform some printing operations, I closed and reopened it with OPM (CE update 7) to find the Pipelines in the dropdown selection area of the combobox in Standard Preferences for Piping Component toolbox were gone. I then checked the pipeline manager as well as the explorer and both reported the pipelines were actually still there. I tried to import the pipelines back to the model, but was told that the pipelines were already existed and nothing was imported. This seems like a bug to me, Is there a way to fix it? • Let me expand the short forms and add missing steps to hope to find the issue
    1) Pipelines were modeled in OpenPlantModeler CONNECT U7

    2) The dgn was then opened in OpenBuildingsDesigner CONNECT U6 and Microstation CONNECT U13 for printing. (Were there any explicit changes saved in the DGN?)

    3) The dgn was again opened in OpenPlantModeler CONNECT U7 and now you cant see the pipelines in Standard Prefs?

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Since the pipelines are showing up in the Pipeline manager, the possible workaround would be to delete your preferences temp files from the following path.

Please change UserName to your machine user name and 10.0.0 to relevant path on your machine.

    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler\10.0.0\prefs\

If this doesnt fix your issue, would you be able to share your DGN with us to test?

    Thanks,

  • Since the pipeline info was still there, I used Pipeline Manager and modified the name of a Unit. When the operation was done the pipelines came back to the Standard Preferences for Piping Component toolbox. It seems the link was broken somehow during the previous operations, and the modification through the Pipeline Manager caused a re-sync of the pipeline info. Also a 'save settings' operation should be performed or the pipeline info will be lost again.
