OpenPlant P&ID - Water/Wastewater Symbols

I am new to Bentley OpenPlant Software, and we are working on a new Wastewater Treatment Plant. I was wondering if there was a Bentley cell library that includes more symbology for Water/Wastewater related items such as headworks, UV, grit collectors, pumping stations etc. I was hoping to not to have to reinvent new sybmols for these items if such a library exists.

Thanks

  • Hello Dan,

We do not ship a Water/Wastewater specific dataset.

I realize this isn't what you wanted to hear, however, in OpenPlant PID you can create new components from an existing component in a custom cell library. This does make it a bit easier to do. I have spent some time asking around with our W/WW users about symbology. Believe it or not, there are differences from one user to another.

If working in OpenPlant Modeler, you can create user defined components from existing 3D cells. These cannot be modified after being conformed to an OpenPlant Modeler component, but nozzles can be attached, pipe intelligently routed from the nozzles, and clash detection will honor them.

    I hope this helps,
