Hello everybody,
in the piping world of OPM it is possibly to define custom components, like special valves etc. from graphic cells. Like it is shown here for example: How to Create a Steam Trap Component by Using Custom Graphics in OpenPlant Modeler Connect Edition - AutoPLANT | OpenPlant | PlantWise Wiki - AutoPLANT | OpenPlant | PlantWise - Bentley Communities
Is it possible to do the same for nozzles?
Define the needed points in the geometry and then assign the graphic to be a nozzle of a certain equipment?
I am thinking about "special nozzles" like manholes, special sightglasses on vessels/tanks/custom equipment and so on.
And these custom nozzles should then be listed in the nozzle manager of the equipments. Where I can make changes regarding the angle they sit on etc.
Most of these things have a kind of complex geometry, which is not possible to display with the geometries the specification nozzle uses. That is why I am asking about custom graphics.
An example would be this manhole with an integrated sightglass, a hinge and handles to open it. But it could also be rectangular sightlasses on a cylinder or something completely different.
Hello Florian,
This seems to be an interesting prospect. I would request you to raise a Service Request for this requirement so that we can have this taken up internally and process further with the Product Management.

has this been resolved?
Sorry for missing to post the update here. It has not been resolved, yet.Last update to this was in may of last year (21.05.2021) and it was an enhancement request created.
"We would like to inform you that this issue resulted in Enhancement #618305 and will be evaluated by the Product Management team. Regards | Soham Mhaskar"
