There are multiple ways to get what you want.
Using rep_sortgroups.txt: add skip = 1 to the supports group
SORTGROUP = SUPPORTS RULE = IE_TYPE=CT_SUPPORT SKIP = 1
Using overrides:
RULE=IE_TYPE=CT_SUPPORT NOTONBOM = 1
Both solution will prevent a part ID to be generated for the supports. You can still report on these items. In most cases the items without a part id will not be shown on the BOM. If they are still there you can filter them out using something like INCLUDE=PARTID>0
