Is it possible to exclude an IE_TYPE from a single column?
In the BOM above, I want the reinforcing pads to just report quantity for a client, but still be under fittings.
All help appreciated.
Hi Bear,
Components are associated with report groups through the configuration file rep_sortgroups.txt. The file itself contains some documentation. Here you can add groups, associated components with groups and determine the order within a group. In your case you have to "catch" the repad before the catch all fittings group. You can select on any property, so not only IE_TYPE but also EC_CLASS etc. If you need more info let me know

Frank
Sorry Bear, mis read your request
Yes you can do that to by using an expression in your report. That takes a bit more resolv on my end, will get back to you
Legend, many thanks Frank. As always, appreciate the assistance.
Bear,
The most effective and easy way is to use an overrideRULE: Remove SIZE from report for REINFORCEMENT class include=EC_CLASS=REINFORCEMENT @@SIZE1=0 color=4
Please check the spelling. The color statement is only there so that you can visually see in the isometric that the rule targeted whatever you wanted to target. You can remove it when the rule works
The @@ means you are adding.changing a component property. In this case you set SIZE1 to zero. IN reporting this diameter value is then no longer seen as significant and the report column is left blank. Another way is to use IFs in the report expression to get component specific behavior
Thanks so much Frank, I'll have a play and report back.
Again, really appreciate the help.
