Hi all,
why I cannot search by base class "Piping Component" in Advanced Search in OpenPlant Modeler Connect Update 9?
In OPM V8i SS6 I was able to do that, so I could find all descendant components like Pipe, Pipe Adapter, Pipe Elbow, etc...with a common property value (example: Service)
Thanks in advance
Hi IronMonkey,Thankyou for posting your query on Plant Technical Forum. As I check in V8i I didnt the same which you described so let me check internally about this requirement and I will get back to you.RegardsAshutosh Patil
Hi, any news about this problem?
Hello,
sorry for late response. Just saw this yesterday and did some investigations. I can confirm that piping component class was available in advanced search back in V8i but now went missing in CONNECT Update 9. I am not quite sure if class was ever there in CONNECT, but this shouldn´t matter regarding your concern. Log entry doesn´t seem to be related.
Will raise a Service Ticket. Maybe you can do the same after I posted ticket number and refer to it so you will be kept updated about the process.

HiYes, I have also noted this. However nowadays u have quite good reporting functionality under Externa Reports. As a workaround u can alsoCreate the queary in V8i and save it to a file(xml) and open that file in CEOrSave a search for ecClass="PIPE" and open that xml file and change it to ecClass="PIPING_COMPONENT"
