Hi,
I have an Autoplant model dating back to a project in 2003 which I would like to try and utilize on a new project. What is the correct workflow for opening the Autoplant model in openplant modeller? (We do have the .mdb database files that sit beside the Autoplant models)
I have successfully opened the dwg model however all the pipes etc are being displayed as "square" (see attached screenshots). Is there an object enabler that I perhaps need installing?
Hi Chris,Thankyou for posting your query on Bentley Plant Technical forum.I will divert your query to AutoPlant Team.RegardsAshutosh Patil
Hello Chris,
Thanks for posting your question.
Could you please elaborate me your question more clearly,
You want to use AutoPLANT Model in OpenPlant with all intelligence (with all component properties)?
or want to just reference dump AutoPLANT Model (only graphic) in OpenPlant Model, for further modeling?
Regards,Abhijit Bute
Hi Abhijit.
In this instance I think we only need a "graphic" model that we can use for reference. We would like to copy and/or delete certain elements etc if possible. If there is a way to open the model in Openplant and retain the intelligence that would be great, but not necessary required at this moment in time.
Hello ChrisWe can't directly use AutoPLANT model files into OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT. We need to perform conversion for model. Currently this is possible via PlantSight integrated project of OpenPlant Modeler. Please note that this feature is still in Tech Preview.HTHRegards | Deepak Singh
