OPIM CE - Same Line Number Across Multiple Models - Isometric Numbers

I've come into a situation where we have the same line number across multiple files. Can I run the from each file at the same to to get the correct iso numbering?

If you run each file separately you get the same iso name, which don't work.

  • Hello Bear,

Thank you for posting your query on Bentley Communities Forum.
SME from the Plant team will provide information for your question soon.

  • Hi Sean,

I believe that is the logic and workflow applies here -

Isometrics generate line wise drawing - if it is travelling to multiple DGN's it contains same information with .

So running each file separately gives you different iso name? can you share some example lines?

May be something we should give a try and update.

  • Rahul,

If I have a line number 274-RO371-200-RW-001 across 3 models, if I run each model separately I get the drawing number repeated.

Can I run all 3 models at the same time and get sequential sheet numbers across the models or do I need to have some differentiator for the line number in each model?

At the moment, I can't seem to run the line across the 3 models and get a multi sheet iso pack for the line.

  • For anyone following:

    'Hello Sean,

This issue know to us and this has been fixed in update 10. Can you please use this variable to resolve this issue.

    OPM_MODELS_SCANNING_FILTER

    #----------------------------------------------------------------------

    # By default, This variable will be available to out of the box build at User Configuration Level

    # If user do not define/override this variable then there will be two scenarios connected and standalone,

in connected it's value will be ACTIVE and in standalone(not connected to PlantSight) it's value will be ALL.

    # This variable will control the scanning of the models like current model and referenced models e.g. when making connections with different component

like connecting pipe to nozzle of the equipment and equipment could be from active  MicroStation model

or could be from referenced model means from the referenced DGN.

    # If it is defined with ACTIVE then only current model will be used during scan of the components when making connections

    # If it is defined with ALL then it will consider all the models, attached referenced models and their children as well .

    For Pipeline Manager

    # This variable will be used instead of OPM_PIPELINEMANAGER_INCLUDE_REFERENCED inside connect.

    # This variable will also control the loading referenced DGNs' pipelines inside pipeline manager,

And it will only load referenced pipelines inside pipeline manager if it is set to ALL

    # Pipeline Manager by default scans reference DGNs. This can degrade performance when multiple huge referenced files are attached,

as Pipeline Manager will scan those files every time Pipeline Manager is launched.

To disable, set the following configuration variable to 'ACTIVE'.

    #----------------------------------------------------------------------

    OPM_MODELS_SCANNING_FILTER      =      ALL

    We hope this helps you.

If have any issue in this then please let us know.'
