I am having an issue with Openplant in regards to a change in property accuracy between the catalog and the properties in the model.
This is occurring with our steel lined specs since the 3r bends/tees have specific dimensions for them including flanges
With how the system is set up classes are made for the 3R elbows which have the CTR_END_M, CTR_END_R, designed to account for the flange setback. though when these valves are used for the components the accuracy for the values of "Design Length Center to Branch End Effective" or "Design Length Center to Run End Effective" get averaged to an accuracy of 0.1.
I am wondering if there is a simple option that I can change to correct this since "Design Length Center to Outlet End Effective" is correct so it should be possible to do this for the other valves.
Regards
Hi Callum ArnoldThanks for posting query to Bentley Plant forum.Based on provided spec snapshot, I can see that both values for CTR_END_M & CTR_END_R are defined in spec. Can you please check in schema that which EC Expression is defined for these two properties for ELBOW class? You can refer below wiki link as reference.
Not exactly sure how to view the EC expressions. I am using connect edition so the UI is a bit different
The Schema editor shows both as Doubles
Hi Callum ArnoldFrom Desktop you must have application icon as Class Editor. If not search for the same Class Editor to windows search and load schema from there.Thank you
There is already a IIF expression in the location, though i think the you nominated above is to be used for length not for the design length expressions. I understand what this expressions is saying that if there is CTR_END_R=0 then it will default back to the CTR_END_M instead. this is probably where the value for is averaged. is there a way to adjust this to set the significant figures?
