Hi All
Has anybody found a way to place instruments (Custom Components or otherwise) without having the component associated to a pipeline.
Example can be to have an instrument on a vessel or a trip alarm on a conveyor.
If I look at the schema's, instruments are exclusively prepared to associated plant area, unit, service to a pipeline.
Any ideas or advice anybody can offer?

Instruments can attached to any component, including equipment. Place the instrument bubble, then attach the instrument line to the component. The relationship will be established.
The OBJECT_HAS_INSTRUMENT relationship will be created and the associated Properties from the equipment will be applied to the instrument.

I should have been a bit more clear, I am trying to get instrumentation in OpenPlant Modeler.
