How can I maintain and check a unique set of tag numbers for welds. I was able to modify the schema to be able to tag the welds but how can we keep track of them so that they are not duplicated?

Hi Justin,
Not at the moment I can think of. I will enquire and update the concern.
Updating welds to manage automatically might be a tedious task. How you are going to manage for deleted welds - In that case there shouldnt be any sequence of it.
But Tag should generate unique at each time placement.
You may refer valve placement and check its number and shall confirm if placement patter fits your requirement
