Hello. How to change automatically (manual way I know) Symbology of already placed equipment after I changed Named expressions OP_SYMBOLOGY_EQUIPMENT and OP_SYMBOLOGY_EQUIPMENT_INSULATION. Sorry for my English
Hi Valery,
Have you tried checking if the already placed components are automatically assigned to the new level after you have applied the levels via the Named Expression as well as in the Name Templates?
I'll do some testing on my side if this is the case and get back to you.
Regards,
Fer
No, unfortunately, no. Newly created equipments are placed on new layers according to the named expression. Already placed equipment has to be edited manually, for example, by editing the properties of each component separately and pressing the "Apply changes" button in the component editing window - in this case, the equipment will be placed on a new layer. But there can be a lot of equipment and editing each one for the sake of applying a new layer is very laborious. Is there any way to do this automatically. Maybe there is a command or Key-In that makes such an update. For my side, I tried to apply Key-In "bmech rebuild all" did not help me.
Hello Valery,I believe that you are executing the key-in to the specified Ribbon of Equipment. The bmech key-in is dependent upon the activated ribbon.
I quickly tested at my end and the color are updated as desired.Existing placed equipment:Changed the color in *.dgnlib for vessels to have Orange.Executed key-in as:Result after key-in for existing equipment:HTHRegards | Deepak Singh
Thank you. With standard equipment from the equipment galleries, this works. But with the equipment created from the graphics of the microstation by clicking the button "create equipment" from the gallery of "user defined" this is not work.
I think Bentley tech support can help you here.
There are some custom tool (custom DLL) that works for custom equipment.
