I am making changes to the valve annotation in the schemas to move the positions of the various attributes that we are displaying on the P&ID. Is there a key-in command or any other function to run on the P&IDs to update the annotation that has already been placed on the P&ID? For example, if I change the height of size annotation of the valve to be 2 mm higher than its old position, can I run a command to refresh the annotation on the P&ID so the size annotation of all valves will be in the new position?
Before refresh, the size is in the original position based on the schemas:
After updating the schemas and running a command to refresh:
The update applies well to newly placed valves but I would like the software to update the annotation automatically to save the Designer's time from manually adjusting the annotation.
Thanks for posting your query in communities. Which version of OPPID you are using?
Let me get back to you regarding this matter.
Hi Fer, the version is V8i SS10. I have tried this command pid component redraw all but it does move the existing annotation or add the new properties that I am setting in the schema to display.
Hi Deepak, I tried this command but the annotation did not update. Is there another way to update the existing annotation?
you can try pid model refresh all
This one looked promising but it did not update the annotation either.
I think in PID SS10, this is an issue which has been taken care to good extent in CE.Possibly for your case then, might be last option as pid component redraw all if this works but it will change the component connect points too if changed its cell and execute the command for almost all placed items.
Thanks Deepak, I tried that command as well but it did not work. The project will update the annotation manually since there isn't a command to update them.
