I currently have a OPPID project in SS4 and a project Database in SQL Server 2008r2. The project has about 15000 entries in the tag reg table now and the time taken to synch drawings and the time to open the project in datamanager has become extremely slow. It takes around 10 minutes to open a view in datamanager. If I connect to the database through Visual Studio and run the same query it takes a matter of seconds.
Digging through it looks like the bottle neck is in the project.mdb file, if I open this in Access and run the same query I get a similarly slow response time.
Does anybody have any advice or tricks to speed things up?
