How to convert .dwg 3d model into .dgn file

Hi All, 
 I want to convert .dwg 3d model into .dgn file using Bentley Autoplant v8i (Autocad 2012) .Please provide the steps for converting.

Hello, 
 I'm not really sure how exporting to a dgn work from the AutoCAD menu, but if you have any issues with that you should contact the AutoCAD support instead. 
 As for another option, to have your AutoPLANT files exported to a .dgn file with all the related intelligence on them, I would suggest you to use the Bentley AutoPLANT i-model composer software.

The only way to get an AutoPLANT V8i dwg into a dgn format is one of the following programs: 
 &bull; Bentley Imodel Composer V8i 
 &bull; AutoPLANT i-model Composer V8i 
 Both will create an i.dgn file that will have the AutoPLANT graphic and component data. Neither will make just a dgn file but the i.dgn file can be opened in Microstation or Bentley Navigator. 
 Using AutoCAD&rsquo;s dgn conversion tool will not correctly convert all graphics nor will the data be pulled for the components.
