The end conditions were all set to "BWT". Then I placed some slip-on flanges in the drawing.
When I place the pipe now, the end conditions are both set to "PL".
Why would this change

Re: Pipe end conditions changing

Thank you for feedback.

Yes, this is defaults. The end conditions are read from ports.ini

Could you please, explain bit more where end conditions were set to "BWT"?

To my regret I am not aware of where else end conditions could be set then in ports.ini.

Regards,

In the spec, the only option for END_COND_1 is "blank"

In Ports.ini, Port1.EC and Port2.EC are set to " PL; BW; SWM; SCM; SDL"

End condition in Base piping module are defined in C:\Program Files\Bentley\Plant V8i\Modules\Base\Ports.ini.

By default pipe that is not connected will have PL (plain) end conditions.

If end conditions for pipe are defined in specification, the ports.ini should be changed as well. The [PipePorts] section's variables Port1.EC end Prot2.EC should point to END_COND_1 or/and END_COND_2 in case pipe has different end types.

I hope this will help.

Regards,
