Dear Bentley Family,
When we open any multiple (second/third) autocad drawing , its stuck at the point “At_start_doevents” as shown in the attached pdf-screesnshot. Its not going further . Due to this we are not able to open multiple drawing.
Please let me know any solution and why its stuck at this point .
Waiting for your earliest reply.
Note - We are using:
Software : Bentley Autoplant V8i - SS4 version : 220.127.116.11 , Autocad 2012-64Bit , Naviswork 2013 , Inventor Ultimate 2014-64 Bit , MS-Office 2010 - 64 Bit.
Hardware : Workstation Dell Precision T3600
Usually a problem of this nature is caused by a profile setting.
Are you launching P&IDs or Piping models ?
When you state, "open any multiple (second/third) autocad drawing" are you referring to opening multiple sessions of the same app at the same time / same session ?
Thanks in advance.
Ronnie has it right (as if there was ever a doubt) :)
This just happened to one of my users yesterday and we regenerated the profile and it was resolved. However, in our case we had to delete the profile from C:\Program Data\Bentley\Plant V8i, and then repair install AutoPLANT so it would regenerate from the AutoCAD Unnamed Profile. Once we did that, we reimported the profile and all was good.
Similar issue was discused in this post communities.bentley.com/.../91832.aspx
It seems there is posible solution one one of AutoCAD forums forums.autodesk.com/.../3166162
Next Time you will face this issue please try to check in Task Manager is WSCommCntr1.exe process is running. If so try to disabele InfoCenter in:
I hope this will be useful as well.
I set infocentreOn=0 by admin rights login, then also its stuck at the point “At_start_doevents” while opening.
Then i have to forcefully via task manger, I have to End the process of WSCommCntr1.exe and WSCommCntr2.exe process, then the drawing gets open.
Please let me know any other solution, to keep close this process permanently.
Waiting for reply.
