We are trying to configure Autoplant SS4 and Projectwise SS4 on windows 7 and get the attached error when attempting to open a project.
The correct user group is present in projectwise and project administrator but when user configurations are viewed in vision or doc manager the required user group is not present and cannot be added. We have one machine where everything works but cannot recreate the install. (working machine had acad2012 installed over 2011after projectwise and no ms office on it)
Our install order was Autocad 2012, Projectwise SS4, Autoplant SS4.
Under your AutoPLANT project folder thier is a Microsoft Access file named Access.mdb.This file needs to contain the AD groups from your company. Open this file and you will see 5 tables. The one you need to edit is called GAccess. See sample snap shot attached.
The correct group was already there unfortunately. Thank you for pointing out to me where the group list is saved though, maybe it will help in determining why vision, document manager and projectwise are not reading from that list.
Our SG-CAD-C group shows up in the list when viewed in project administrator as well, but not when you view the same list in vision or document manager. You also cant edit the list in vision or document manager.
Does the installation sequence of software need to include ms office (access)
Access is not a requirement, unless you are using DataManager for reporting.
Windows User account control slider needs to be moved to bottom position (off)
Hopefully this ridiculously simple solution saves someone else hours/days of frustration!
