How to change the version of AutoCAD used on startup

Both Document Manager and Vision use the data in AT.ini to determine the version of AutoCAD and what profile is used to open AutoPLANT.  By default when AutoPLANT installed the newest version of AutoCAD available on each computer; because of this the AT.ini can point to a version or variant (LT, MEP, Map 3D, etc…) of AutoCAD that is not supported.

    AT.ini file location

    Windows 7

    • C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\CFG

    Windows XP

    • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bentley\Plant XM\CFG

Because of its location at.ini is not project specific it is workstation specific.

    Changing the AutoCAD version

    1. Open the AT.ini
    2. Find the [PIPING] section
    3. Locate the CADAPP section
    4. Change the CADAPP path to reflect the version of AutoCAD that is supported.  Example:
      1. Change from: CADAPP=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2013\acad.exe
      2. Change to CADAPP=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012 - English\acad.exe
    5. Locate AcadCmdLine
    6. Change the AcadCmdLine path to reflect the version of the AutoCAD profile in use. This step may not be needed. Example:
      1. Change from:  AcadCmdLine=/p "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\AutoPLANT_SS3_PDW811ACAD_B001_409.arg" /b loadpiping
      2. Change to:  AcadCmdLine=/p "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\AutoPLANT_SS3_PDW811ACAD_A001_409.arg" /b loadpiping
    7. Change each section that have CADAPP and AcadCmdLine and save the file.  Once changed the save the file and opened files from document manager and vision will open the requried AutoCAD.
