Dimension Styles

Dimension definitions (styles) are configured in the isometric seed file. Although several dimension styles can be defined, the “active” style is the one used when generating the isometric drawing.

Stacked Fractions and Degree Symbol

A limited set of MicroStation fonts support the display of stacked fractions. An appropriate font must be set in the Text tab of the Dimension Style dialog. "1 WORKING" and "32 INTL_ENGINEERING" are examples of fonts that support stacked fractions

Dimension Components

Gaskets

Gasket dimensions are controlled by a switch in each Isometric Style. The default setting is to not include gasket dimensions. Use the steps below to modify the switch.

  1. Open the Isometrics Configuration tool
  2. From the Isometric Configuration dialog:
  3. Select the Isometrics Style tab
  4. Select the relevant style from the drop down box. See image below to select IFC Style.

  5. Select Dimensioning from the Node present in dialog.
  6. Under Primary Tab, Check OFF "Dimension Gaskets". See image below.

Note - In earlier version of OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, options were available under Converter Settings, which is not present in latest version and has been moved under Primary tab like explained above
  7. Save and generate Isometrics to Verify Results.
