Introduction

This article will explain the procedure of including the Area & Unit property in bubble annotation. By default only device type code and number properties are annotated but user wanted that Unit & Area properties should also be annotated since they are part of the instrument tag.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch Class Editor and load OpenPlant_PID.01.04 schema.

2. Supplement it with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Imperial schema.

3. Go to INSTRUMENT class.

4. In properties tab, select NUMBER property and remove 'Notify Related Component of Property Value Change' custom attribute.

   

5. Create a new EC property, lets say DISPLAYED_NUMBER.

   

6. Add following custom attributes: Category, Annotation custom attribute, Calculated ECProperty Specification & Notify Related component of property value change.

   

   

7. Expand the Instrument class and go to INSTRUMENT_PARAMETRIC class.

8. On NUMBER property remove Annotation Custom Attribute from it.

9. Save the changes in schema.

10. Launch OPPID and verify the result.
