How to Define Existing lines in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

To show Existing element in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. 

Background

As per project requirement, user need to show few components as existing element in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager using OpenPlant Modeler. In OpenPlant Modeler user can set the existing pipeline using "For Demolition" option available at "Component State" property. Below are the steps which will guide user to achieve desired output for existing line in OpenPlant Modeler.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler. Select piping systems that needs to separate components for setting new scope.

  2. Right click on pipe and click on "Modify Component" option. 



  3. From dialog box, set the ‘component state to "For Demolition". See image below.



  4. Create Iso sheet using pipeline manager and generate isometrics to view the separated piping systems as dotted line in isometrics. See image below:



  5. Also in BOM reports you can extract segregate the component with ‘Component state’ field. See image below.



    Note: User can select group of component through Item tree and change the common property in one instance. Either by selecting different pipeline or by selecting group of components.
