To Place Tap Port on Blind Flange in OpenPlant Modeler

In OpenPlant Modeler, to place a tap port on Blind flange. 

Background

During Modeling in OpenPlant Modeler, placement of Tap port on Blind flange might be tricky and does not allow user to place it on face of flange. Below are the steps to aid modeler to be able to place the Tap port on Blind flange face. 

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and select Project unit of working.

  2. Place Pipeline of main size DN25 in OpenPlant Modeler.

  3. Place a weld-neck flange and a Blind flange of same size.

  4. Switch display style to illustration and orient the blind flange view to Isometric like shown in below image.

  5. Select Size DN15 for Tap Port.

  6. Place it on Face of Blind flange. See image below.



  7. Toggle view to Wireframe Top view mode to check the placement of Tap port. See image below.
