Video Brief - How do I Integrate my Bentley Plant Project with ProjectWise?

    Applies To
    Product(s): Project Administrator/ProjectWise
    Version(s): V8i
    Environment:  Project Creation
    Area:  ProjectWise
    Subarea:  Integration
Original Author: Brandon Moberg, Bentley Product Advantage Group

This video brief will explain how to integrate a SQL Server Plant Project created via Bentley Project Administrator with ProjectWise.  It takes into account the user is familiar with both applications and is a brief demo for project integration.  Applications needed are SQL Server Management Studio, Bentley Plant Project Administrator and the Windows ODBC Data Source Administrator. Once integrated new documents can be created via ProjectWise Explorer taking advantage of the security benefits of the ProjectWise applications.  In DataSheet Editor the users will find new ProjectWise functionality with the ability to check-in and check-out these files.  If the users are running OpenPLANT PID they will find the option on drawing creation to login to the new ProjectWise data source.  Please refer to the video below for details:
