In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to obtain different description for trimmed Elbow in Bill of Material. 

Background

While placing trimmed elbows in OpenPlant Modeler, the Description got changed based on the Trim Angle and while producing the isometrics, user should expect the detailed description with some Trim Angle value to differentiate each fitting in BOM. Currently it just provides the DESCRIPTION property information which has been mapped with LONG_DESCR value coming from Specs and no information about Trim angle. See image below:



Below steps will aid user to get the information by doing some customization in schema. Below description has been shown in context with OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. 

Steps to Accomplish

1. In Bentley Class editor, open ‘OpenPlant_3D.01.04.ecschema’.
   
   
2. Supplement it with below schemas:
   OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.04.ecschema
   OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.04.ecschema
   
   
3. Navigate to ‘PLANT_BASE_OBJECT’ Class.
   
   
4. Right Click and select copy to custom attributes (CA’s). 
   
   
   
   
5. Select CA ‘Default Bill of Material Labels’. Assign location to OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.04.ecschema.
   
   
   
   
6. Navigate to ‘PIPE_ELBOW’ class and paste the CA here. See image below.
   
   
   
   
7. This will override this custom attribute and enable for editing.
   
   
   
   
8. For PIPE_ELBOW class, modify the IE_DESCRIPT value as this.COMPONENT_NAME. 
   
   Note – COMPONENT_NAME property will give all the information including Trim angle based on EC Expression defined on it. 
   
9. Save & Close schema and verify isometrics BOM. See image below.
