To show Gridlines information in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.
In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, Gridlines are required by user to have some reference to set it from some structural element to Pipeline. It can be output as Co-ordinate label as plant co-ordinates or using column graphical representation on a pipeline or BOTH information can be shown. However in below steps, use of Gridlines.txt and co-ordinates labels on isometrics drawing can be described. Graphical interpretation and reference dimension can be used in latest OPIM version and can be discussed later. Grids can be placed in two ways in OpenPlant Modeler, and can be later fill up the values in gridlines.txt with specific Format LINE & LINESET.
A. Using LINE, which specifies single line at uneven distance.
B. Using LINESET, which specifies a set of equidistant lines.
A detailed explanation can be found in below steps.
A. Gridlines using LINE at uneven distance.
Where,
GRID ABC – GRID starts a grid definition, ABC set as a name of grid.
ACS -40000 0 0 0,
ACS is local co-ordinate system, -40000, 0, 0 is the origin at Grid A1, Note – Check Section C below, on setting the Grids Coordinate
LINE A N 0 0 0 -7000 (LINE <name> <direction> <start point> <length>)
LINE specifies a single gridline
<A> the name of the gridline.
<N> the direction of the gridlines, either N or E (North or East)
<0, 0, 0> the start point of the gridline.
<-7000> the length of the gridline.
B. Gridlines using LINESET, which specifies a set of equidistant lines
GRID Building_B – GRID starts a grid definition, Building_B set as a name of grid.
ACS 0 0 0 0,
ACS is local co-ordinate system, 0, 0, 0 is the origin at Grid A1,Note – Check Section C below, on setting the Grids Coordinate
LINESET A N 0 0 0 -7000 9 1500
(LINE <name> <direction> <start point> <length><Count> <Offset>)
<A> the name of the gridline. Note -If the first character is a digit the LINESET starts from 1 else from A
<9> Grid count.
<1500> the Offset distance between Grids.
Setting Grid line ACS in OpenPlant Modeler Like discussed above, user can either import the grid files for reference or can create a Grid for reference. For Grids to be placed in Modeler, user can move the grids as per real column reference. See below steps to achieve.
