    Overview

When AutoPLANT is upgraded from XM to V8i the project and models from the XM version must be upgraded along with the install.

How Do I Upgrade Projects From AutoPLANT XM To V8i?

    1. Start Project Administrator V8i.
    2. Go to File > Add Root... and add your projects so that Project Administrator can see them.
    3. Then go to the menu: Edit > Preferences.
    4. Click on the Integrity Check tab.
    5. Check the box: "Enable Integrity Check Engine Globally" and select OK to exit the dialog.
    6. Click on the project name in the project root and an initial "check" will automatically start.
    7. Now right click on the project and go to Upgrade > From Base Template.
    8. After that finishes, right click again on the project and go to Upgrade > From Integrity Check Results.
    9. This process upgrades your projects for both 2D and 3D applications. In addition, open the Relationship Manager, right click on the documents tab and "upgrade all drawings" to ensure the individual 3D documents are V8i as well.
    10. In Project Administrator: Go to Edit > Preferences.
    11. Click on the Integrity Check tab.
    12. Uncheck the box: "Enable Integrity Check Engine Globally" and select OK to exit the dialog.
    13. Note: Steps 10-12 are required for AutoPLANT P&ID projects to properly work.
