To Fix or Create New Elbow Radius Entry under AutoFitting Template in OpenPlant Modeler

Background 

To create new standard Elbow Radius type Entry under AutoFitting tab in OpenPlant Modeler. In OpenPlant Modeler, user wanted to display different Radius types under AutoFitting tab to allow it user as per project requirement. Below Steps will aid user to achieve the desired settings. 

Steps to Accomplish

  1. In OpenPlant Modeler workspace, open project PCF file. Below it has been selected a default Metric PCF file.
  2. Search for variable OPM_AUTOFITTING_ELBOW_TYPES and add type as desired. 



  3. Add a similar entry under AutoFittingsRules.xml file present in workspace folder. Check default path below:

    %Project root%\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\OPModeler\System

  4. Save and Close File.  
  5. In Class Editor, “Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema” and supplement it with below schemas:

    OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.07.ecschema
    OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViews.01.07.ecschema
    OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.07.ecschema

  6. Navigate to PIPE_ELBOW_90_DEGREE_3R class. Copy this class.

  7. Paste it to PIPE_ELBOW_90_DEGREE Class as shown in below image. 



  8. Rename the pastes class as PIPE_ELBOW_90_DEGREE_1_POINT_5R and set the display name as Pipe Elbow 90 Degree 1.5r



  9. Save and close schema.

  10. Update spec by making an entry for EC_CLASS_NAME PIPE_ELBOW_90_DEGREE_1_POINT_5R



  11. Save and close spec.

  12. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and verify results.
