Problem Description

Using OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, Reinforced Branch Pad or Un-reinforced pad with stub types description like shown in below image.

Sometimes, user requirement is to add/concatenate some property value to RBR-UBR main description. In some cases, it has been required to get single weld isometrics. Below steps will aid user to compress double weld to single.

Steps to Resolve

  1. In Bentley Class Editor, Open “OpenPlant_3D.01.06.ecschema” & Supplement it with below schemas.

    “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.06.ecschema”
    “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.06.ecschema”
    “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViews.01.06.ecschema”

  2. Navigate to “TAP_CONNECTION” class. See image below.

  3. Under property Tab, Create a new property SAPID and assign custom attribute “Project Display Status”. See images below:

    1. To add custom attribute, use existing property which contain the same custom attribute. See image below.

    2. Pull down listed Custom attribute and set the correct location as shown in below image.

    3. Right click on new property and click on “Paste”. See image below.

    4. See below image.

  4. Navigate to “PLANT_BASE_OBJECT” class, Right click->Custom Attribute->Copy”. See image below.

  5. Pull Down the custom attribute “Default Bill of Material Labels”, as shown in below image.

  6. Again Navigate to “TAP_CONNECTION” class and past the custom attribute here. See image below.

  7. This will allow user to add/edit entries to it.

  8. Check IE_DESCRIPT option and modify the value as this.SAP_ID & " " & this.BRANCH_CODE. See image below:

  9. Also Add the same in “Specific BOM Labels” Attribute. See image below:

  10. Save & Close Schema.

  11. Launch OpenPlant Specification Generator, Open branch table Editor to assign various UBR/RBR types.

  12. Save & Close application.

  13. Launch OpenPlant Modeler & Click on “Use Auto Branch Table” icon.

  14. Place a pipe with DN100 & place all size branch pipe.

  15. Enter SAP_ID by modifying tap connection. See image below.
