Overview

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to display Pipe Bend in Numbers for BOM. Below discussion is based on OpenPlant Modeler & OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

Problem Description

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, user wanted to get Pipe Bends in terms of numbers in BOM. Currently default BOM for pipe bend display in terms of length. By Modifying custom attributes in schema will aid user to attain the desired information. Below are the steps to check. See image below for quantity shown in MM.

          

Steps to Resolve

1. In Class Editor, Open “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.06.ecschema”.
   
   
2. Navigate to PIPE_BEND class.
   
   
3. Under custom attribute “Isometric Component”, change all fields as shown in below image.
   
   Class Name - CT_ELBOW
   Item Code - "BEND" & this.NOMINAL_DIAMETER & this.CODE & this.MATERIAL & this.STANDARD
   Scaler - "ELBOW_8"
   Symbol - "90BW"
   
   
   
   
4. Save & Close schema.
   
   
5. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.
   
   
6. Open Isometrics Configuration dialog.
   
   
7. In “User Labels” Option change the Include field as per image shown below. 
   
   Include - EC_CLASS=PIPE_BEND
   
   
   
   
8. Save & Close dialog.
   
   
9. Generate Isometrics & verify Results.
