Overview

The first time you open a newly created OpenPlant PID drawing, a "Open Project" dialog is asking to select Plat Database project again.

Problem Description

Each new OpenPlant PID drawing needs to be connected to Database Project and for some Users the same Project selection multiple times is confusing.

Steps to Resolve

A Workspace\Project and Database Project are two separate things. Each new OpenPlant PID drawing, needs to be connected to Database Project. User can set OpenPlant PID project to be connected with required Plant Database in Projects *.pcf file and then newly created OpenPplant PID drawing automatically will be assigned to required Plant Database.

In OpenPlant PID Project's *.pcf file, these variables has no value and this is the reason why second "Open Project" dialog is pooping out.

  1. Open your OpenPlant PID Projects .pcf file
  2. Search for these lines and sett two following PCF variables to their AutoPLANT values
    AP_PROJECT_ID=
    AP_PROJECT_ROOT=

  3. These values you can find in Bentley Project Administrator
  4. Create new OpenPlant PID drawing and verify the results.
