Overview

To Fix welds on Olets in OpenPlant Modeler.

Problem Description

In OpenPlant Modeler, on placement of olets with some end type preparation doesnot report welds on pipeline. Below steps help user to attain welds on a pipeline.

Reason

This has been occurred due to non-availability of end prep types on Joint class. See image below.

User need to define all End prep types to avoid such problems. See below steps to resolve.

Steps to Resolve

  1. In class Editor Open “OpenPlant_3D.01.06.ecschema” & Supplement it with below mentioned schema.

    “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.06.ecschema”.

  2. Navigate to JOINT Class.

  3. Under Class Tab, Select Custom attribute “OpenPlant_Physical_JointType_Map” & Check joint type [8]

  4. Right Click on End preparation2 and using “Add Element” option. See image below.

  5. Add all possible End preparation types. See image below.

  6. Save & close Schema.

  7. Launch OpenPlant Modeler, Place component & verify results.

Note - For Existing Welds, user need to run Connectivity Checker to fix the case.
