Background

When we open a new file in OpenPlant PID a dialog (as shown below) appears to select a project database to connect with. The user wants to suppress this dialog for a particular project where he doesn't want to connect to database.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open the project PCF file in notepad where the default connection has to be disabled.

  2. Add the variable below in the PCF file and save it.

    PLANT_PROJECT_WORKOFFLINE=1

  3. Launch OpenPlant PID to verify. This dialog will not appear and you will not be connected to database.

Note: Later on if you wish to connect the drawing with database then go to File > Work Offline to connect.
