To Hide supports in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

Overview

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to hide Supports, Symbols, Dimensions etc.

Problem Description

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, using OpenPlant Modeler, user wanted to hide supports and to plot isometrics. While extracting these multiple format output, it is required sometimes hide supports and publish as per requirement. With the use on new Overrides.txt file option, which permits user to write a set of rule & to achieve desired results. Below are the steps to check. 

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. 

  2. From Style folder select Overrides.txt file. Say default “Check” style here.

    Get files from (….WorkSpace\Projects\OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Isometrics\Styles\Check\Config)

  3. Open File and add below entries.

    RULE
    INCLUDE = IE_TYPE=CT_SUPPORT
    STYLE = 2
    LEVELNAME = Supports

  4. Save & Close File.

  5. Generate Isometrics.

  6. See levels for supports assigned with new level as Support.



    Note By default all level goes to Level 1

  7. Using Level Display option Check OFF support. 



  8. To hide Labels, use “User Labels” option and check off “Support Tag Labels”. See image below. 



  9. To hide dimensions, use “Dimensioning” option and check ON “Hide Support dimension”. See image below.



  10. Save changes.

  11. To Hide Part ID’s, you need to make it Skip from rep_sortgroups.txt file using variable SKIP = 1 as shown in below image. 



  12. Generate Isometrics. See isometrics below, where supports information removed successfully. 


    Note – It will also remove information from BOM.
