    How to Use AutoPlant Catalogs to Create OpenPlant Spec using SpecGen

    In OpenPlant Specification Generator, creating OpenPlant Spec using AutoPlant Catalogs.

    Background

    With the use of Specification Generator, user can create spec for OpenPlant Modeler from AutoPlant Catalogs. 

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Launch OpenPlant Project Administrator V8i.

    2. Go to Tools tab.

    3. Select your particular project.

    4. Click on Specification Generator to launch.



    5. From SpecGen Window.

    6. Go to Tools, click on Upgrade to OPM tool.



    7. In Upgrade to OPM window click on Select option to choose and select the AutoPlant catalogs.User can do multiple selection of catalogs.



    8. Select AutoPlant catalogs (say APCAT1, APCAT2, APCAT3 & APCAT4 ) and click on Open.



    9. Upgrade to OPM window will pop up with selected catalogs. Refer image below.



    10. Click on Update.

    11. Click on OK in the Operation Completed pop-up.

    12. Examine the updated AutoPlant catalog.

    13. Notice that in updated catalog a new field has been added for tables.



    14. Now add/use the updated catalog to generate your spec.
