How to Reorder Iso Sheet Numbering Using Location Point Attachment in AutoPLANT Modeler

    Applies To
    Product(s): AutoPLANT Modeler
    Version(s): 08.11.13.XX (SS8) & Above
    Environment:  Windows 7 (64bit) & Others
    Area:  component
Subarea:  Place Location Point - Pipeline Start Point
Original Author: Kestutis Mitkus, Bentley Product Advantage Group

    Background

When Automatic Iso Splitting option in Isometrics configuration is turned on, Isometrics will be splitted in to Sheets, but with no option or function to place a starting point from where IsoSheet order.

To verify the result, Create Iso via OPIM with Automatic Iso Splitting option turned on and check Iso-Sheet creation order, which is assigned by default. See image below.

In below Steps you will find a detail instruction of how to acquire control of sheet creation order when Automatic Iso Splitting option is turned on.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Open projects OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml and supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.07.ecschema.xml
    2. Go to Note Class: Right-Click and copy AutoPLANT_PDW_Class_Map custom attribute

    3. Go to Note subclass Pipeline Start Point: Right-Click and Paste this attribute in Pipeline Start Point Class

    4. Go to Note class and find the AutoPLANT_PDW_Class_Map
    5. Right-Click and remove AT_ATTACH_LOCPT element from ClassNames and a single BASE entry under ModuleNames.

    6. Go to Pipeline Start Point and find the AutoPLANT_PDW_Class_MAP section
    7. Right-Click and remove AT_ATTACH_TEXT and AT_ATTACH_SPOOLID elements from under ClassNames and 2 BASE entries under ModuleNames.

    8. Save all changes and exit
    9. Open isometric Configuration dialog and unmark Do not Split checkbox.
    10. Open same model in AutoPLANT again and click Piping>Misc.Attachments...

    11. Then select Location Point and place it in required position.

    12. Create Iso via OPIM and verify the results

How to use Isometric Stop signs and acquire control of sheet creation order when Automatic Iso Splitting option is turned on

    2. Open same model in AutoPLANT and place Start Point in required position.
    3. Place Isometric Stop Signs in required positions.
    4. Create Iso via OPIM, select required pipeline and in Preferences dialog unmark to Use Stop Sign.
