"Olemanager was not found" Error while loading Support Topwork Browser and Componet Preference

Overview

In Autoplant Piping when load support topwork browser or component preference user may face following error.

"OleManager was not found"

Problem Description

When user install uninstall older of autoplant and install new version of Autoplant. "Unable to find Olemanager" error occurred while loading support topwork browser or component preference.

This error because of older versions of Autoplant traces available in registry. Following steps will helps to get rid of error message.

Steps to Resolve

Note: Kindly make sure that all registry are backup properly.

  1. Open registry editor in admin mode.
  2. Go to following path. 

    1. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{85D0E0D6-E7E5-4123-AFE5-35A49E9A4B8A}
    2. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{85D0E0D6-E7E5-4123-AFE5-35A49E9A4B8A}
    3. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{720080E7-D479-4053-94B3-112B9809698B}
    4. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{720080E7-D479-4053-94B3-112B9809698B


  3. Delete older version entries and keep current Autoplant version entries.
  4. Open AutoPlant and try to load support browser.

If still same error persist then try to register "Olenmanager.dll" by following steps. 

For Autoplant Modeler version SS5 and above:

  1. Run CMD as administrator and use the following commands. Insert to CMD cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Plant v8i\Bin\NGUtils\x86\
  2. Press Enter
  3. Insert to CMD C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\RegAsm.exe /codebase OleManager.dll
  4. Press Enter
  5. Open AutoPlant and try to load support browser.

For Autoplant Piping version SS4 and below versions:

  1. Run CMD as administrator and use the following commands. Insert to CMD cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Plant v8i\Bin\NGUtils\x86\
  2. Press Enter
  3. Insert to CMD C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe /codebase OleManager.dll
  4. Press Enter
  5. Open AutoPlant and try to load support browser.
