How to Exclude Existing Components from OpenPlant Modeler Reports

To Exclude Existing Components from OpenPlant Modeler Reports.

Background

If user wants to exclude some existing components from reports then it is possible by following below mentioned steps.

Steps to Accomplish 

  1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler in any project say OPModeler_Imperial.



  2. Create new pipeline in Standard Preferences dialog.



  3. Place a pipeline and some valve on the pipeline.



  4. Change component state of one pipe to Demolition.



  5. Go to OpenPlant Modeler -- > Tools -- > Item Reports.



  6. Navigate to Report in which you want to exclude components



  7. Right mouse click on Report and select any of the two option shown in reports. See image below. 



  8. Using above steps results to Cut Length report type for both component state data. To exclude Existing Components, see below steps. 
  9. Right mouse click on Report and select Edit.



  10. Select “Report Template Info” say Grid Template and Edit Report Dialog will pop up.



  11. Select Query browse button.



  12. Set the query condition with “Component State” not equal to “FOR_DOMOLITION”.



  13. Press “Add to Search”.



  14. Condition will be added in Search Summary results.



  15. Press “OK” to Search dialog.



  16. Press “OK” to Edit Report dialog as well.

  17. Now right mouse click edited report and select “Open in Grid”.



  18. Component having Demolition state should not be included in the list.
