To Insert Report into Drawing in OpenPlant Modeler

Background

Currently there is no option in OpenPlant Modeler to insert report into drawing. But if user wants to insert report into OpenPlant Modeler drawing, then user needs to follow below mentioned steps.  

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler in any project say OPModeler_Imperial
   
   
    
2. Create new pipeline in Standard Preferences dialog
   
   
    
3. Place a pipeline and some valves on the pipeline
   
   
    
4. Now go to OpenPlant Modeler -- > Tools --> Item Reports…
   
   
   
   
5. Navigate to the required report and right mouse click to select “Open in Grid”
   
   
   
   
6. Grid Report will be generated
   
   
   
   
7. Select “Export Report” from Grid Report menu
   
   
   
   
8. Save exported report in any form say CSV
   
   
   
   
9. Once report exported, go to OpenPlant Modeler “Edit” menu and select “Insert Object”
   
   
   
   
10. Select “Create from File” radio button in “Insert Object” dialog and “Browse” to select CSV file exported above in step 8
    
    
    
    
11. Press “OK” to Insert Object dialog after selecting required file
12. Select Rectangular origin in drawing where you want report data to be inserted
    
    
    
    
13. Selected file pop up in front and Report will be inserted in drawing
    
    
    
    
14. Close the Excel file and see the inserted report in drawing
