    How to Show Branch Diameter In Piping Reports

    In OpenPlant Modeler, user wants to show branch diameter for piping components in grid report.

    Background

    This wiki article explains how to show branch diameter for piping components in OpenPlant Modeler grid report.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.

    2. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.

    3. Supplement with below highlighted schema.

    4. Navigate to Pipe_Branch class, switch to properties tab.

    5. Search property NOMINAL_DIAMETER_BRANCH_END, right click and copy this property as shown below.



    6. Navigate to Piping Component class, switch to properties tab.

    7. Scroll down, do right click and select paste as shown below.



    8. Similarly, navigate to olet class, switch to properties.

    9. Search property NOMINAL_DIAMETER_BRANCH, right click and copy this property as shown below.



    10. Navigate to piping component class, switch to properties tab and do paste.

    11. Save all the settings.

    12. Launch OpenPlant Modeler and define item report for piping components.

    13. From Reports, click on Piping Components & select New Report to define a report as shown.



    14. Enter the details as shown, click on query to define query as shown below.



    15. Search for Piping Component, make sure that include item sub-types in result is enabled as shown.



    16. Click on OK.

    17. Attach a grid template for report type as shown below.



    18. Open report & verify result as shown below.
