In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, user wants to show calculated pipe weight in bill of material.

Background

DRY_WEIGHT represent the weight of pipe. In bill of material weight of pipe should show correctly as per the total length of pipe. This wiki article explains how to show calculated weight of pipe in bill of material.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07. ecschema using Bentley Class Editor.

  2. Supplement it with below highlighted schema.

  3. Navigate to Plant Base Object, right click & select Custom Attribute > Copy to copy Default Bill of Materials Label custom attribute as shown below.



  4. Navigate to PIPE Class, right click and select paste to paste the copied custom attribute as shown below.



  5. Under Default Bill of Materials Labels Custom attribute, right click on Other Attribute & select Add element to add an attribute as shown.



  6. Enter the details as shown below.

    Name: DRY_WEIGHT
    Value: System.Math.Round((this.LENGTH_EFFECTIVE * this.WEIGHT),2)



  7. Save the settings & verify the result as shown.
