Background

When an instrument is placed on equipment or pipeline in the drawing, this information is displayed in "Instrument List" view of Data Manager as shown below.

Currently, it shows only related pipeline and equipment in PLANT CONNECTION field but it doesn't show related valve tag.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open Class Editor and load below schemas:

    OpenPlant_PID.01.07
    PlantProjectSchema.01.07

  2. Expand 'Plant Project Schema' node and right click on 'Relationship Classes'. Select Add Relationship Class option in context menu.

  3. Name the class "VALVE_HAS_INSTRUMENT" as shown below.

  4. Select BaseClasses field and click ellipse button on the right side.

  5. Add OBJECT_HAS_INSTRUMENT relationship class.

  6. Switch to Constraints tab.

  7. Add Valve class in Source constraint as shown below.

  8. Similarly add Instrument class in Target Constraint.

  9. Save the changes and close the schemas.
