    Error on uninstalling, repairing, updating or installing AutoPLANT Modeler Prerequisites or AutoPLANT Modeler: Failed to create an IPC Port: Access is denied.

    Problem Description

    During the uninstalling, updating or installing AutoPLANT Modeler Prerequisites or AutoPLANT Modeler, you can get an error message saying:
    Failed to create an IPC Port: Access is denied.

    Steps to resolve

    Prior to the uninstallation, repair, update or installation, open the task Manager and see if the BPCom32host (32 Bit) is still running in the Background processes.
    If yes then you must end that task.


    Now run the uninstallation, repair, update or installation again

    If above problem still persist, then please create a Service Request and contact the Bentley Product Advantage group. Please include a list of all relevant details to get in depth analysis for a solution or workaround.
