Background

There might be cases when user will start face database connection issues. In this case user opened existing model and started facing this error message: ATDB0107:Error executing the SQL statement

At some point he was able to double click and check existing components details, but all fields were empty.

User started to face this problem in his AutoPLANT - Oracle projects, but when he tested default SAMPLE METRIC project, results were the same.

Regarding Missing component data there are cases where this wiki article Repairing Missing Component Data In AutoPLANT 3D might help, but regarding ATDB0107 error, only after detail and long investigation we found possible cause of this issue.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open odbcad32.exe from this path C:\Windows\System32
  2. Check if System Data Sources has any Oracle Data Source

  3. Remove this Data Source and test Oracle project again.

When AutoPLANT - Oracle environment is created, there is no need for separate ODBC System Datasource, which is connected with Oracle database. During AutoPLANT - Oracle Projects creation process, only Oracle Database name and User is required. As you can see in this picture, in the first step is written to enter the data source name or location of the data.

Similar process goes with SQL server connection. ODBC System Datasource can be used only to check if your Oracle database is reachable with your client machine.
