How to Save DGN file as DWG Model with Inverted Display Colors of Attached Raster File

    Applies To
    Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler
    Version(s): 08.11.11.XXX(SS6)
    Environment:  Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit)
    Area:  Import/Export
    Subarea:
Original Author: Kestutis Mitkus, Bentley Product Advantage Group

    Background

A *.tiff image file with white background as Raster attachment was attached in DGN model and then Display of this Raster attachment's Colors were inverted. Modeling background in OpenPlant Modeler by default is set to black color and after inverting Display of this Raster attachment's Colors, annotations and components are visible and can be placed and modeled without any issues.

But after saving model as DWG file, Raster attachment is saved without inverted Display Colors. All annotations and components, which were placed on top of this Raster attachment, because of same white background, became invisible.

    Steps to Accomplish

The easiest solution would be to used Raster Attachment with already prepared required background color, because Inver Display Color functionality works for attachments inside OpenPlant Modeler and while sawing it as DWG model it saves it as image with original file settings.

    1. Launch OpenPlant Modeler, open required model with *.tiff raster attachment inside.
    2. Open Raster manager and go click on File>Batch Convert option

    3. In Converting dialog add required *.tiff file, set required format type and mark checkbox to invert it.

    4. Now new *.tiff file is created and after changing Raster attachments in main DGN model, *.tiff attachment in DWG file will be saved with required background color.
