How to Set Same Level to Major & Minor Pipeline but Different Line weight

    Applies To
    Product(s): OpenPlant PID
    Version(s): 08.11.10.XXX (SS5) | 08.11.11.XXX (SS6)
    Environment: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64 bit)
    Area: Class Editor
    Subarea: Customization
Original Author: Jaya Tiwari, Bentley Product Advantage Group

    Background

In this Wiki article we will see how to set same Level and same Services (color & line style) to Major Pipeline & Minor Pipeline but line weight should be different.

    Steps to Accomplish

    1. Launch Class Editor.

    2. Open OpenPlant PID.01.07.ecschema.

    3. Supplement with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_Imperial.01.07.ecschema.

    4. Navigate to Major Pipeline Class.

    5. Right click on Major Pipeline > Custom attributes > Add/Remove.

    6. Add Value Property Template attribute as shown on below image.

    7. Right click on Items & Add element.

    8. Fill data as highlighted below.

    9. Switch to Properties tab & Select SERVICE (if it is grayed_out click on Override tab).

    10. Right click on SERVICE property & Add Custom Attribute.

    11. Add Value keyin attribute as shown in below image.

    12. Fill data in Value keyin attribute as shown below image.

    13. Similar settings will do for Minor Pipeline. Navigate to Minor Pipeline Class.

    14. Fill data as shown below in Value Property Template Attribute.

    15. As as 9 step will add Value keyin attribute & fill the information as shown below image.

    16. Save all settings.

    17. Launch OpenPlant PID & open PIDProjectTemplates.dgnlib file.

    18. Open Level Manager & create levels as "New, Future & Existing".

    19. Go to Element > Element Template & Right Click on Pipeline > New Template Group.

    20. Rename the New Template Group to Service_1 (as given in Class Editor).

    21. Right Click on Service_1 > New Template.

    22. Rename the New Template to NEW & set setting as shown in below image.

    23. Similarly add Future & Existing Template.

    24. Now add Service_2 & New,Future Existing Template.

Note: Line weight should be different from service_1 for New, Future & Existing Template.

    25. Now, Open OpenPlant PID dgn file.

Element > Element Template > Update Template from library.

    26. Verify Results.
